writers table

What is writers table?

richard wakefield kotulski's play a fresh goodbye

Writers Table is designed for playwrights who want to present more script pages than can be accommodated in Writers Circle. Sitting at a table in the back room of a restaurant, PDC members read entire one-act plays or large sections of longer works with those in attendance commenting on the material. This is a more intimate than Readings in Restaurants and allows for more extensive discussion of the script. Unlike Writers’ Circle, the works are scheduled in advance and usually will involve the work of no more than two playwrights.

Any member may have work read at Writers Table. The only requirement is that the playwright is actively working on the script and is using the reading to help in its development. Members interested in scheduling a reading should contact Donald Drake at dondrake@belltatlantic.net.
